STRETCHING
Stretching workouts tune your body to healthier levels by increasing the blood circulation.
The rich supply of blood throughout the body ensures proper supply of oxygen resulting in excellent body
metabolism. Stretching workouts also give out comfort levels relieving you from mental stress.
Stretching for Back
Positioning
The
relaxed and comfortable position for stretching exercise is a must. Lie on a flat surface on your back with your
legs stretched fully. Clothing should be tight but loose enough to avoid block of blood circulation and there
should not be any hindrance to the movements while doing stretching. One leg should be bent such that the heels
of bent leg touch the knee of the other leg. Hands should lie horizontal with the shoulders on the
floor.
Exercising
The right
leg should be bent with its heel placed on the knee of left leg. Abdomen should be pulled in and your left hand
should lie on the floor horizontally in line with your shoulder. With strains on your back, twist yourself
towards your right side and hold the position for few seconds with inhalation. Repeat the same procedure for the
other side of the body. Make sure that your leg which is stretched does not pop up and come out of position to
support the strain. Jerking the body should be avoided as much as possible as it decrease the efficiency of the
exercise.
